About Macula Vitreous Retina Physicians & Surgeons

"Dr. Carvounis is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in diseases and surgery of the retina (including the macula) and vitreous. Dr Carvounis treats his patients like family. Dr. Carvounis uses the best equipment available to aid in diagnosis of complex conditions and will see you and gives clear, concise explanations on your condition and offers treatment options, including the latest treatment options, that are personalized to your needs and expectations. When it comes to surgery, Dr. Carvounis has performed more vitreoretinal surgical procedures in the last decade using current techniques than anyone else in the greater Houston area and has published the result of several of his techniques. We provide 24/7 coverage for our patients and extended hours, including Saturdays. From the moment you call to schedule your appointment Dr. Carvounis' staff will endeavor to provide 'white-glove service' - others call this concierge medicine, we call it practicing good medicine (and charge none of the extra fees)."
