"Karla Voss has a wide variety of training, skills, and interests. She completed her PA education in 2009 and participated in a wide range of clerkships. These include clerkships in general surgery, internal medicine, orthopedics, cardiac transplant, and mental health. Prior to becoming a PA, Karla was a paramedic, and prior to her medical education and work, she earned two BA degrees: one in psychology and one in criminal justice. While attending school for these degrees, Karla worked as a paramedic and firefighter, earning the award of Spokane Firefighter of the year in 1994.
Karla has served in Newport, Colville, Spokane, Inchelium, and Yakima. She grew up in the Yakima Valley area and relocated to Spokane in 1985 to go to Gonzaga. She had a significant roll-over accident in 2016 and is thankful to be alive! Karla is passionate about serving her community and is relocating back to Colville in order to serve at Heartland Medicine Colville Clinic."
