William N. Hobbs, MD

"Dr. William Hobbs family's roots on the Olympic Peninsula go back to the late 1880s on my mother’s side of the family.  His mother was a Sequim farm girl and after his father retired from the US Navy they moved to Port Townsend where he was raised. 

 Dr. Hobbs attended the Univ. of Washington for undergraduate education and received a degree in Zoology in 1980 then attended Univ. of Washington Medical School graduating in 1984.  He then left Western Washington to complete his internship in Spokane, WA.  His internal medicine residency was completed in Las Vegas, NV.  For 18 months he was on the faculty of the University of Nevada School of Medicine and then spent 6 years in private internal medicine practice in Las Vegas.  However, after his 2 sons were born he decided to move back to the Olympic Peninsula to raise them in this beautiful area.  He has been practicing in Port Angeles since 2003.  

When not working, Dr. Hobbs can usually be found out enjoying the great northwest with his wife KayC and two sons.   They enjoy hiking, backpacking, cycling, walking their dog Merlin, and a short jog now and then.  When not outdoors he enjoys reading and listening to music. "

"SEQUIM MEDICAL ASSOCIATES is 4-physician primary care practice in Sequim, Washington offering physicans who are board certified in Family and internal Medicine.   Located in the OMC Medical Services Building at 840 N. 5th on the second floor,  SMA provides easy access to ancillary services such as laboratory, medical imaging and various specialists. 

We provide 24-7 availability for our patients.  Our office is open Monday thru Friday.  You may contact us after hours, if an urgent need arises, by calling our office and reaching the answering service.  The answering service will then connect you directly to the physician on call if appropriate.  During office hours, we have dedicated staff for Coumadin management, referrals for specialized services, and assistance with your prescription needs.

We participate with most major insurance companies and manage all medical billing inhouse.  

We are a concierge practice.  Our patients pay a monthly fee based on age: $75 for those under 65 years of age, and $90 for those 65 and over.  The monthly fee provides services not billable to your insurance company.  These services include same day appointments when needed, less wait and unrushed visits, as well as quarterly newsletters and patient forums.  We are committed to providing easy access and pride ourselves on our personalized care and service."
