"Dr. Francis grew up on the west coast and attended college at Stanford University and medical school at the University of Washington. She trained in pediatrics at Seattle Children's Hospital and dermatology at the University of Washington. She completed a fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Seattle Children's Hospital and continued on staff there for an additional 8 years as an Associate Professor in the Division of Dermatology. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the American Academy of Dermatology, the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, Washington State Medical Association and Pacific Northwest Dermatology Society.
She joined Eastisde Dermatology in 1997 and thoroughly enjoys the time she is able to spend caring for her patients. Dr. Francis specializes in pediatric dermatology and sees patients with complex as well as common skin disorders. She continues to hold an academic appointment at Seattle Children's and treats patients with vascular birthmarks there. The most satisfying aspect of her practice is the relationships she has formed with her patients and families over the years. When she is not spending time with her colleagues and patients, she enjoys movement of all varieties - yoga, walking, Pilates and gardening. She has two grown children who live in the Seattle area."
