"Family Practice Specialists of Richmond (FPSR), P.C., first opened its doors on the campus of Johnston-Willis Hospital in October, 1994. Dr. James W. Miller had been practicing in the Richmond, Virginia area for more than 20 years and decided to create a practice that would motivate patients to improve their overall health by being physically active and living a healthy lifestyle. The practice, once owned by a solo physician, quickly grew to become a leader in the community that reflects the best of modern healthcare with its blend of high technology, knowledgeable physicians and nurse practitioners, and skilled office staff.
