AM/PM Walk-In Bergenfield Office

I have always had great experiences here previously. My actual visit with the doctor was a five star visit. He was kind, and very transparent with me. It's what happened later that evening that was so horrendous, that if I could give negative stars, I would. I called my local Solv (in Bergenfield,NJ) later that evening, because although the pain had been manageable in the afternoon, by that evening, it was not. This is not a complaint about the reception staff, because I know they were providing me with the responses that they were given. This is purely about the physician they spoke to, which they would not give the name of. Physicians are aware of the pain caused by malignant otitis externa. I called because my pain was unbearable, but I, specifically, have special circumstances, which are on my file, and I also made them aware of that evening. I am immunocompromised (I have an autoimmune disease), which I notified the receptionist of. When I requested something for pain, when the receptionist spoke to the physician, he told her to tell me to go to the emergency room. When I requested something-explained my situation (that I am immunocompromised, and very nervous about going to an ER because of the danger of exposing myself to other illnesses), the receptionist got the same response. Four times. She was told that they were only willing to change the antibiotic. I was not asked if I could return so that they could see what I was dealing with (I live five minutes away and would have jumped on my car and gone there). Nope, instead it was, "let's ignore the patient calling and complaining of unbeatable pain". This treatment of a patient is inexcusable, and because of what occurred, I will never return to this Solv AM/PM Urgent Care. I would recommend that you find another urgent care to go to also, if you don't want the same kind of treatment
