"Founding physician Dr. Michael R. McLeod is a board-certified family physician who has served patients in the crossroads area for nearly 20 years. He has recently been recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice and is one of only three physicians to be recognized with the inaugural Health Heroes Award from the Texas Medical Association in 2017 for his work in disease and accident prevention. Dr. McLeod is working part time as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine for Texas A & M Health Science Center, helping train Family Doctors in the DeTar Family Medicine Residency Program. Promoting patient health and wellness has been a focus of his career, both in his clinical work and in his outside volunteer activities.
