Cindy Dafashy, MD, MS is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who is committed to restoring the patient-physician relationship. Dr. Dafashy is passionate about patient education, price transparency, and helping her patients navigate the complicated maze of the healthcare system in a simple and straightforward way. She feels strongly that a family doctor should work in the interest of the patient, not for the insurance companies.
Dr. Dafashy grew up in San Antonio before embarking on her academic career around Texas, and finally settling in the Houston-Galveston area for residency and professional practice. She is a first generation Ecuadorian-American and fell in love with the city of Houston for its diversity in culture. She is married with two young kids who keep her heart dancing and a smile imprinted on her face.
Dr. Dafashy has a special interest in caring for young families as a whole and adolescents/ young adults as they become independent in their health care. She strongly believes in creating tailored treatment plans to fit the unique needs of each patient. Dr. Dafashy believes in finding the root of the problem, not just trimming branches and hoping they don’t grow back.
