"Gary Legault, M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology with advanced fellowship training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery from Duke University. Dr Legault performs the latest techniques involving bladeless LASIK and PRK procedures, Intacs for Keratoconus, Collagen Crosslinking, Implantable Collamer Lenses (ICL) and laser cataract surgery with multifocal lens implants.
Dr. Legault received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in Computer Science. He earned his Medical Degree from the Uniformed Service University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. During his studies, he won the AMA Foundation Leadership Award, Who’s Who Among Students in American University & Colleges, and membership into the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Legault completed his internship and Ophthalmology residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Health Sciences Education Consortium. In residency, Dr. Legault won the John Gillespie Award for top intern and Michael Lambert Award for top Ophthalmology resident. He is an assistant professor at the Uniformed Services University and Texas A&M. He has been a surgeon on multiple FDA studies and pursues research in refractive surgery, tele-ophthalmology, and sports ophthalmology.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Legault served in the United States Marine Corps and worked as a computer programmer for Chick-fil-A. He is an avid runner and loves coaching youth sports when he is not taking care of your eyes."
