"Amy Cadis, M.D. is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and is licensed by the Texas Medical Board.
Dr. Cadis was born and raised in Houston, TX. She completed her undergraduate studies at Houston Baptist University where she received her B.S. in Biology and graduated magna cum laude. After this, she earned her medical degree at Texas A&M Health Science Center, College of Medicine. There, she was named the “Outstanding Student in Surgery” at the College Station Campus. She participated in medical mission trips to Peru and Haiti during medical school. She went on to complete her Internship in Internal Medicine and Residency in Ophthalmology at the Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, TX and served as chief resident.
Dr. Cadis is comfortable taking care of a wide range of ophthalmic conditions including glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and macular degeneration. She is a cataract surgeon and is excited to work at South Texas Eye Institute and bring excellent eye care to the San Antonio Community. She is passionate about bringing quality medical and surgical eye care to her patients."
