'DR. JOE ETTER, D.O. is a board certified internal medicine physician. Dr. Etter received his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Dallas Baptist University. He attended medical school at the University of North Texas in Ft. Worth and finished his residency in Internal Medicine at Plaza Medical Center in Ft. Worth, Texas, where he served as chief resident in 2006. Dr. Etter started Burleson Old Town Medical Center in August of 2006.
Specializing in chronic disease has been a mainstay in Dr. Etter's practice. In addition to conventional approaches to diagnosis and treatment, he routinely incorporates functional and homeopathic remedies as the patient desires. Dr. Etter is committed to wellness and prevention, and strongly encourages his patients to address any nutritional deficiencies and exercise.
Dr. Etter married his high school sweetheart, Shelby, in 1995. They have two girls, Ella and Hattie. In addition to spending time with their children, Dr. Etter and Shelby enjoy traveling, experiencing new things, and are very active in their home church."
