"Dr. Nelson Simmons earned his medical degree from Texas A&M University Health Science Center. While at Texas A&M, he was elected as President for his medical school class, served as chairman for the Distinguished Teaching Award Committee, and was the 1st Representative of the Texas A&M University Family Practice Society. Dr. Simmons graduated with honors and finished in the top half of his medical school class. Dr. Simmons completed his specialty training in Family Medicine at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice Physicians, is a Fellow with the American Academy of Family Practice, and has been recognized as one of the thought leaders in innovative approaches to healthcare in Collin County. Dr. Simmons has been in private practice since 2000 and founded Personal MD in 2003. Dr. Simmons is married and has three children; Justin, Rylie, and Evan."
