"Pediatric Endocrinologist Dr. Ferry is a pediatric endocrinologist and native Texan. When he's not diligently reviewing your data, he's probably serving the community. He never Photoshops his photographs, so he really does wear thick glasses. He takes his job seriously, but not himself. Dr. Ferry grew up in South Texas. After graduating from Yale University, he returned to San Antonio for medical school and residency training in pediatrics at UT Health San Antonio, then completed his fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in 2000. He served over 16 years on the full-time faculty of major U.S. medical schools, attaining the rank of tenured full professor and division chief, while serving as medical director for pediatric endocrine services of major children's hospitals. He has co-authored 140 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters (partial bibliography at https://tinyurl.com/y9qusnq5). He edited Management of Pediatric Obesity and Diabetes, which has yielded 24,927 chapter downloads since 2011. He is a member of the Endocrine Society and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics among other professional organizations. He holds board certifications in pediatrics, pediatric endocrinology, and disaster medicine. He has faithfully served in the Texas Army National Guard for many years, deploying to Iraq as an Army physician during 2005-2006 and 2009. After obtaining his master's degree in strategic studies as a distinguished graduate from the United States Army War College in 2018, Dr. Ferry returned home to Texas."
