Doctor Details:

"Bachelor of Science in molecular genetics and biochemistry from The Citadel, Charleston, SC – Medical Degree from UTMB, Galveston, TX — Residency in surgery at Memorial Health University Medical Center

Inspired by a family full of physicians, Dr. John Speck chose to pursue Emergency Medicine. Dr. Speck enjoys working with high acuity patients in Emergency Rooms and finds the lack of routine both refreshing and rewarding. Before coming to Concho Valley ER, he practiced medicine at GTEC Orange and the Select Care Long-Term Acute Care facility in Houston. John Speck is also an ATLS instructor at Memorial Hermann. Dr. Speck is very proud to be invited to the Concho Valley ER team and considers it a blessing being able to impact the lives of his community."

Clinic Details:

"At Concho Valley ER, we believe that emergency medical care is not a privilege, but a commodity that all patients in need should be able to access. That’s why our facility is staffed with the emergency care expertise that the community of San Angelo deserves. Together, we provide our patients decades of experience and an unparalleled level of support.

Our physicians are in charge of directing the care provided to every patient, and they have additional experience in emergency medicine. This means that they have the education and background needed to treat a wide variety of medical conditions. Oftentimes, emergency care physicians are the first providers to diagnose chronic diseases like diabetes and asthma, but they will refer the patient to a trusted primary care provider to manage the condition. Working in urgent care is rewarding for the physician as well. It gives them the opportunity to work on a variety of ailments, and to treat each patient with individualized attention and care."
