Satish Prabhu, MD

"Dr. Prabhu has been a practicing pediatrician in the Clarksville area since 1999. He obtained his medical degree (MBBS) from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India, in 1983. After completing three years of training in pediatrics (MD) in the same institution, he went to England in 1986 where he worked in different hospitals around London and Glasgow, obtaining his MRCP and DCH degrees from the Royal college of Physicians of London. In 1992 he came to US. He completed two more years of pediatric residency training in Orlando, Florida, and nearly two years of training in Pediatric Nephrology at Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. In 1996 he started his pediatric practice in Erin, a small town 30 miles northwest of Clarksville, and then three years later moved his practice to Clarksville. In 2011 he moved to the current location, 111 Otis Smith Dr. He is married to Saritha Prabhu, who is a writer, and has two boys born in 1995 and 1997. His other interests include playing tennis, golf and travelling."

"Rainbow Kids Clinic became a Recognized National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) on June 25, 2015 and renewed this status on May 28, 2021. The NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home program reflects the input of the American College of Physicians (ACP), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and others. It was developed to assess whether clinician practices are functioning as medical homes and recognize them for these efforts.
