Thomas G. Stovall, MD, MBA

"Thomas Stovall, MD, MBA was born in Nashville, Tennessee After graduating in 1979 from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Stovall was married and moved to Memphis where he attended the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He obtained his Medical Degree in 1983. Dr. Stovall then completed an Internship and Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pelvic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Dr. Stovall was on the faculty of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee, Memphis from 1987-1992. In October, 1992, Dr. Stovall was recruited to Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University where he held the position of Head of Gynecology from 1992-1997. During his tenure there, Dr. Stovall completed his MBA degree at the Babcock School of Management of Wake Forest University. After completing this degree, Dr. Stovall was recruited back to the University of Tennessee to become Professor and Vice-Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Stovall is currently a Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He has previously served as Professor and Vice-Chair of OB/GYN at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Dr. Stovall has also served as the Executive Director of the Center for Women's Health Improvement, an institute whose mission is to improve the health status of women in the State of Tennessee. Under his direction, the institute implemented a number of innovative and exciting programs. He is currently Clinical Professor, OB/GYN at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Stovall is Past President of the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons."
