Annalysa Johnson, DO

"Dr. Annie Tensen-Johnson joined Women’s Care Group in 2016.  Dr. Johnson graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Northwestern College of Iowa.  She completed her doctorate of osteopathic medicine (DO) at Des Moines University and then went on to spend four years in Pittsburgh, PA, where she completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital.  During her residency training she was awarded the American Association of Gynecologist Laparoscopists excellence in minimally invasive gynecology award.

She is a member of several medical organizations including the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Dr. Johnson chose obstetrics and gynecology because she wanted to care for women in all stages of their lives.  She loves getting to know her patients and working with them to provide evidence based treatment.  She has a passion for empowering and bringing women together."
