"Robert Wilson, MD is Chief Medical Officer of CovenantCare. Dr. Wilson believes that medicine is best and most effective when practiced proactively, as a collaboration between patient and provider. His guiding philosophy is that the patient should be treated with the same care, compassion, and understanding that the provider would want for himself and his family.
In this spirit of proactive medicine, Dr. Wilson is passionate about community outreach, involvement, and education. He is currently team physician for Houston County High School , and he has earned two awards as football team physician for Goodpasture Christian School, and for Davidson Academy. He regularly volunteers at area schools to provide sports physicals and ImPACT concussion education. Dr. Wilson has given community presentations on topics such as OTC supplements, nutrition, and the cost of obesity. He has been featured on WSMV’s “More at Midday” and TriStar Health’s “Healthbreak” videos, and is the author of The Be Fit – Live Well Manual and Workbook.
Dr. Wilson completed his Family Medicine residency at Memorial Health Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia (Chief Resident 2002-03), and graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine. He has a 5-star rating from Healthgrades."
