"Kara Coleman, DO was born and raised in southeast Iowa. She attended the University of Iowa for her undergrad where she majored in Psychology. She went to A.T. Still University in Arizona for medical school and completed her family medicine residency at Duke/SRAHEC in North Carolina. Her favorite part of family medicine is building relationships with patients and working together to achieve optimal health. She is especially interested in the impact of lifestyle behaviors such as exercise, diet, stress, community, and sleep on disease processes. Dr. Coleman is an Army spouse, and her husband Dave is currently stationed at Ft. Campbell. Outside of work they enjoy running, hiking, obstacle course races, traveling, cooking, and chasing their toddler daughter"
