Kenneth Maina, MD

"Dr. Kenneth Maina was born and raised in the Central Highlands of Kenya and earned his MD from the Moi University School of Medicine. Upon graduation, he did a year-long internship with an emphasis on infectious disease management and in-patient medicine. He afterward worked in rural Central Kenya prior to relocating to the US. Dr. Maina joined the University of North Dakota, Center for Family Medicine for his residency in 2017. During his training, Dr. Maina had a keen interest in Hospital Medicine and served as the Administrative Chief in his last year. Dr. Maina is looking forward to creating and nurturing long-term working relationships in Sioux Falls. He believes in the excellent care of patients being the cornerstone of any medical practice and the key to positive outcomes. In his free time, Dr. Maina can be found spending time with his wife and daughter. He is an avid soccer fan (GGMU!) and enjoys hiking and traveling."
