"Originally from the Pittsburgh area, Dr. Gallo came to Waynesboro along with his wife Margie and their two children in 1999 to join Waynesboro Family Medical Associates with Dr. Stewart and Dr. Rettig. Son Marcus is now a history professor and lives with his wife and three children in Cleveland, and daughter Jacquelyn is a physician in the Family Medicine Residency program at UPMC St. Margaret’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. Dr. Gallo is now the managing partner of WFMA, and on July 2, 2018 he opened Franklin Family Medicine, a direct primary care practice, to serve patients with no medical insurance, and those with high deductible plans. Dr. Gallo earned a bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and a law degree at Georgetown University Law School in Washington, D.C. before pursuing a career in medicine. He graduated from East Tennessee State University’s Quillen School of Medicine, and completed the Family Practice Residency Program at Latrobe Hospital, which was administered by the Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He has been Board Certified in the specialty of Family Medicine since 1999, and he is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice Physicians, as well as the Pennsylvania Medical Society."
