"Of course, the most important factor in health care delivery is the quality of the physician. Dr. Serbin is a native of the Pittsburgh area and graduated from Gateway Senior High School in Monroeville. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University, where he was the recipient of numerous awards including Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Summa cum Laude. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Pittsburgh and completed a residency in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, He is board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Upon completion of his Pediatrics residency, Dr. Serbin declined an offer to serve as Chief Resident at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh to study a Sports Medicine curriculum at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Serbin established his current practice in 1988.
He is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, Allegheny County Medical Society, American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is on the clinical faculty of the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Serbin has given many invited lectures on Pediatrics and Pediatric Sports Medicine and published several articles. The Consumers Research Council of America named him one of "America's Top Pediatricians." Dr. Serbin has staff privileges at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Magee Womens' Hospital and West Penn Hospital. He currently resides in Franklin Park with his wife and four children."
