"Dr. Lauren O’Brien is excited to join Elkins Park Family Medicine as a women’s health specialist. Dr. O’Brien spent nearly 12 years of practice in Center City, Philadelphia and Hatboro, PA before she joined Dr. Rachel Rosen.
Dr. O’Brien was raised in Pittsburgh, PA and earned her Bachelors of Science in Pre-Med and Sociology at the University of Notre Dame. She was awarded the Tom Dooley Scholarship Position allowing her to spend a year working in a medical clinic for the underserved patients of South Bend, Indiana. Dr. O’Brien then went on to receive her medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Knowing that she wanted to be able to spend time getting to know patients and families over all stages of life, she completed her Family Medicine residency at York Hospital in York, PA. She has been Board Certified in Family Medicine since completing her residency in 2007.
Dr. O’Brien’s special interests include women’s health and lifestyle medicine. She strives to provide warm, empathetic, evidence-based care, with an emphasis on shared-decision making, helping patients to play an active role in their own health. Dr. O’Brien is an injectable specialist utilizing Dysport to soften and prevent wrinkles and fine lines"
