"Although Rebecca Plute, MD, left Washington County to pursue her medical training, she returned to her lifelong home to bring all of that expertise to her community. Today, through the personalized care she delivers at Paragon Personal Healthcare in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, she helps her patients of all ages lead their healthiest lives. Dr. Plute started her medical education at Pennsylvania State University in State College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in pre-medicine — but that isn’t all. She also completed a minor in human development and family studies, laying a foundation for the personal, warm care she provides today. Next, she attended the Medical College of Pennsylvania — now known as Drexel University College of Medicine — in Philadelphia. There, she earned her Doctor of Medicine. To further hone her expertise, she completed a general surgery internship at Easton Hospital in Easton, Pennsylvania, and a family practice residency at St. Luke's Hospital Sacred Heart Campus in Allentown, Pennsylvania. During her residency, she served as Chief Resident and was awarded Resident Teacher of the Year. Today, Dr. Plute is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and more. She also serves as a staff physician at The Washington Hospital in Washington, Pennsylvania. At Paragon Personal Healthcare, Dr. Plute takes the time to give each patient dedicated, personalized care. Taking a concierge medicine approach to primary care for the whole family, she is able to get to know each patient and individualize the right treatment plan to help them reach their health goals."
