"Christopher Conti, MD joins the Connected Health clinical team having practiced emergency medicine in the greater Pittsburgh area since 2001.
Dr. Chris is a native of Washington, DC where he attended Howard University and was a four-year starter, scholar athlete and honors program graduate. After academic and athletic success including an NCAA College Cup Finals appearance, he matriculated to the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. After graduation he completed a Health Policy fellowship prior to his emergency medical residency training at Howard University Hospital, where he also served as chief resident.
Dr. Chris completed residency training in June 2001 and shortly after relocating to Pittsburgh he was deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as a Critical Care Air Transport Team (CCATT) physician and team leader with his US Air Force Reserve from Andrews Air Force Base, MD.
Dr. Chris comes to us from the Penn Highlands Healthcare System where he worked as the Emergency Medicine Clerkship Director for medical students and resident physicians while also providing community-based primary care services to underserved communities in Allegheny County through partnerships with federally qualified health centers and free clinics.
In addition to training in emergency medicine, Dr. Chris is a FIFA Diplomate of Futbol Medicine and has been providing concussion and sports health services. He currently serves as a Team Physician with the US Soccer Federation's U14-18 Boys' and Girls' National Teams, most recently representing the United States at the 2019 Boys' U17 World Cup in Brazil.
In his free time, Dr. Chris enjoys spending quality time traveling or at home with his wife and children. He enjoys playing and coaching soccer and is currently the Head Boys' Soccer Coach at Woodland Hills Senior High School.
Dr. Chris is passionate about establishing strong patient-physician partnerships in order to work together to meet health and wellness goals. His clinical experience and expertise will allow him to provide a variety of clinical services ranging from general primary healthcare to sports & concussion health, travel medicine, occupational health & wellness and a variety of urgent care services.
