"Ryan is a nurse practitioner with a focus in family medicine. Before going to graduate school, he worked as a registered nurse in the surgical intensive care unit at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. This provided him experience with a wide array of medical conditions, while serving a diverse population. However, his long-term goal was to eventually work in a primary care setting. He went on to attend the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Baylor University. During graduate school, he had the opportunity to spend time training and serving in rural Ethiopia.
As a clinician, his aim is to facilitate each person’s innate ability to reach optimal health. He believes that achieving order of a disordered system is best sought in a team-based/multi-disciplinary context. As such, he enjoys collaborating with his patients and other health care providers to make steps towards wellness through conventional medicine while also considering effective complementary interventions.
Ryan was born and raised in Texas, but has always been drawn to the mountains. He likes to spend time with his wife, friends and dogs, enjoying all the Pacific Northwest has to offer."
