"It is a privilege to be invited into my patients’ lives. Hearing someone’s story firsthand helps me appreciate their perspective, earn their trust, and allows for personal advice that is both evidence based and patient centered. This is something I don’t take lightly and work to improve every day of practice.
Good health is a combination of things and comes to some easier than the rest of us. It is not something we get in a bottle, off the grocery shelf, or with online orders. Rather, it is a combination of making the right choices (most of the time), keeping up with regular medical visits and screenings, and a little bit of luck is involved too. I hope to inspire my patients to make those right choices through education, motivation, and understanding the unique challenges that each person must overcome. I am reminded daily that this inspiration thing is a two-way street: my patients have provided endless lessons in humility and simply being present.
When not at work I keep busy with my husband and 2 teenagers. I enjoy tending to my flower pots in the summer, cycling in dry weather, seasonal cooking from the farmer’s market and traveling with my family whenever we get the chance."
