"Dr Ian Horner believes that doctors' visits should not be a finger wag and a list of do's and don'ts. He says "my best days as a physician are spent sharing in the joys, as well as the struggles, of life with the people around me. In the practice of medicine, I believe preventive medicine is most important." Ian believes this is achieved through a balance of educating, negotiating common goals, and communicating openly. With all his patients, his goal is to aid, teach, and enable them to live their healthiest lives. He loves the variety of family medicine and the continued opportunity to learn as much as possible.
Having grown up in the Seattle area, Ian is naturally drawn to mountains and water. After being away for medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in the Bay Area, training in family medicine in Queens, New York, and a few years working in Chicago, he is grateful to be back in the Pacific Northwest."
