Doctor Details:

"In 1996 she graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was recipient of the Oklahoma State Board of Regents Scholarship, American Indian Graduate Scholarship, and Cherokee Nation Scholarship award. After graduation she entered the University of Oklahoma Internal Medicine internship program and became a member of the inaugural class of the Oklahoma University Rural Family Medicine residency program that was based out of Caney Valley Clinic and Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. After graduation from residency, in 1999, she attained American Board of Family Medicine board certification. Her first post residency employment was returning to Osage County to practice as a Family Medicine physician at the Pawhuska Indian Health Service (IHS) Clinic in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. To further her education she subsequently moved to Tennessee to participate in the University of Tennessee Emergency Medicine Fellowship program. Her extensive medical training has provided a large arsenal of medical skills and experience that has given her the flexibility to integrate and work in multiple emergency facilities, urgent care clinics and family medicine clinics throughout Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. In 2005 Dr. Williams returned to the Bartlesville area to establish a Family Medicine practice with affiliation to Jane Phillips Medical Center. In addition to caring for her patients, she participated as a volunteer faculty member of the University of Oklahoma Rural Family Medicine residency program. In 2012 the ever changing medical environment influenced her to return to emergency medicine and do “fill-in” work for family medicine clinics. During her career she has taken care of a vast number of critically ill and dying patients. Because of her intensive medical management experience, she was granted “grandfather” eligibility for the Hospice and Palliative boards. In 2012 she obtained Hospice and Palliative board certification. In 2013 the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) recognized Dr. Williams for being distinguished, among her colleagues, in her community, by her service to family medicine, the advancement of health care to the American people and professional development through medical education and research and awarded her the “Degree of Fellow.” Fellows of the AAFP are recognized as Champions of Family Medicine that are dedicated to making Family Medicine the premier specialty by service to their community and profession. In an attempt to gain better understanding of the tumultuous times of the U.S. healthcare system, in 2016 Dr. Williams earned a degree from Oklahoma State University Masters of Healthcare Administration. The additional business knowledge has provided her the confidence to leave traditional medicine and the societal norms, of the third party reimbursement path, and pursue a Direct Primary Care practice. In her spare time Dr. Williams has volunteered, around the world, for medical missions. When not involved in medicine, she enjoys spending time traveling, scuba diving, gardening and reading."
