"Dr. Brannon Spillars is an internal medicine physician providing compassionate care for over 15 years. He is founder of Spillars Medical serving patients at his offices in Hillcrest Hospital South Medical Plaza (formerly SouthCrest Hospital).
A primary practice focus is listening and teaching so that every patient feels engaged in their course of care - that they are informed, educated and assured of the knowledge that their physician actively listens and then responds. For Dr. Spillars, it's more than lip service.
Being a physician is Dr. Spillars second career. He first graduated from Oklahoma State University as an aerospace engineer and worked on jet engine design issues for the Apache Longbow and Commanche Stealth helicopters.
While solving complex design issues was fun, he felt the calling to serve people more directly. So, he decided to go to medical school at the University of Oklahoma where he distinguished himself as a Harris-Presbyterian Research Scholar. You can review a few of his award-winning research papers at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine library.
After earning his doctor of medicine Dr. Spillars became board-certificated as an internal medicine specialist.
Today Dr. Spilars is a practicing primary care physician specializing in internal medicine with offices at Hillcrest Hospital South (Formerly SouthCrest Hospital) Medical Plaza. In addition, he serves as the Medical Director of Maplewood Care Center Nursing Home and provides house-calls for Grace Hospice and Healthback Home Health."
