"In addition to practicing emergency medicine, Dr. Worden has been involved in pre-hospital care since high school. He currently serves as the Medical Director for about 15 Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Medical Response Agencies, and over 300 medics across Oklahoma. Providing medical direction to pre-hospital care providers for over 100,000 citizens in Oklahoma. Additionally, Dr. Worden is a commissioned Deputy Sheriff with the Logan County and Canadian County Sheriff's Office and provides medical direction to the agency’s tactical teams.
Education is very important to Dr. Worden, and when not in the emergency department, he can typically be found lecturing to EMS agencies or law enforcement agencies across the state. In 2018 Dr. Worden was instrumental in bringing active shooter training to both Law Enforcement and Fire/EMS agencies in Oklahoma. This training teaches first responders how to work together in an integrated fashion during an unfortunate active attack event. Also, very important is educating the general public how to respond to an active attack, so he frequently provides courses at schools, churches, or civic organizations.
Worden values the personal atmosphere and family-friendly environment at Oklahoma ER & Hospital. He finds that it is easier to see and treat patients when they are offered a comforting environment for emergency care. When accidents occur, it can be scary for kids and families to find help. Dr. Worden and his team of highly-trained medical professionals are here to fix that, with compassionate care that matters."
