"Earning his medical degree at Siddhartha Medical College in India, Dr. Murthy Gokula completed his family medicine residency at Sparrow Hospital/Michigan State University in Lansing, MI.
After his residency, he continued his training at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he completed a fellowship in geriatrics and became board certified in family medicine and geriatrics.
Dr. Gokula has been an invited speaker at several national and regional conferences and written multiple publications.
He has contributed to the Clinical Practice Guideline for the American Medical Directors Association (AMDA). He developed the STAY HOME model of care for the elderly in nursing homes, assisted living and independent living facilities.
He is devoted to incorporating this model in post-acute and home care together with the use of telemedicine and remote patient monitoring to properly improve function and quality of life."
