"Dr. Vieages came to medicine after co-owning an independent record and video store with her husband Gil. She completed medical school at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC (Go Pirates!) and then moved her family to Asheville for residency training at MAHEC. They fell in love with the mountains and never left. After residency, she spent four years treating the patients next door in McDowell County in a small, rural clinic. She has been practicing medicine here in Asheville for the past 3 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two beautiful daughters. She also loves reading, running, yoga, music and movies."
