"Dr. Christopher Komanski specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the vitreous and retina including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal tears and detachments. A Florida native, Dr. Komanski received his medical degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine. He also holds degrees in Microbiology and Molecular Biology, as well as Bioengineering Innovation and Design. His graduate training includes a residency and chief residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health and fellowship in Retina Surgery at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
He says that “taking care of patients, whether improving their vision or helping them cope with difficult disease, gives me meaning and purpose in life.
