"Dr. Hunt earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI and went on to medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Dr. Hunt completed his internship in general medicine at Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA, and completed his ophthalmology residency at the same institution. His broad range of experience includes that of Flight Surgeon with the Marine Corps, Staff Ophthalmologist at National Naval Medical Center, and Specialty Leader for Ophthalmology with the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, US. Navy.
Dr. Hunt is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Hunt’s areas of interest are cataract surgery, refractive surgery (LASIK and PRK), and glaucoma. He is a leader in small-incision cataract surgery, performing over 1000 procedures per year. Dr. Hunt uses the most up-to-date technologies in the field of cataract surgery including premium intraocular lenses (Alcon ReStor intraocular lenses, multifocal intraocular lenses and toric intraocular lenses) as well as laser assisted cataract surgery with the Alcon Lensx femtosecond laser."
