"Dr. James A. Wrzosek. M.D., M.A. moved with his family to North Carolina in 2010 to complete his residency in ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to that, he received his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2009), as valedictorian and as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He also received a Master of History from the University of Illinois. From 2001 to 2002, he was a Fulbright Scholar. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2001 summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
Dr. Wrzosek specializes in cataract and refractive surgery, with a particular focus on specialty lenses and laser cataract surgery as well as LASIK and PRK. His other interests include dry eye, eyelid surgery, and glaucoma. He also performs cosmetic procedures including Botox and nasal and facial vein removal.
Dr. Wrzosek enjoys spending time with his wife, sons, and puppy. Originally from Buffalo, New York, he loves football and appreciates the North Carolina weather by running and playing tennis in his free time. He is always excited to try out new restaurants throughout the Triangle."
