Philip Lackey, MD

"Dr. Lackey is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He also holds a Certificate in Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine. 

He is a native North Carolinian and grew up in Winston-Salem. He graduated from Davidson College with a major in physics and received his medical degree from UNC Chapel Hill. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Lackey has practiced in Charlotte since 1998. He has participated in numerous clinical trials and published multiple papers and abstracts. His other clinical interests include preventive care and travel medicine.

Dr. Lackey is a regular runner and recently climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro with his two grown sons. He and his wife, Dr. Victoria Lackey, enjoy gardening, cooking, traveling, and numerous outdoor activities."
