"Dr. David Kashan is now part of the Aristocrat Plastic Surgery team. Dr. Kashan has worked alongside Dr. Tehrani for close to 10 years now and is now returning back to his hometown of Great Neck, NY. His expertise in facial aesthetics, body contouring, breast reconstruction, as well as many other aspects of plastic surgery has shown throughout his amazing career. After graduating medical school with high honors, Dr. Kashan went on to complete a General Surgery residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he served as chief resident in his last year. During his tenure, he trained in minimally invasive surgery, trauma, cancer treatments, and reconstruction. He is currently board-certified in General Surgery.
He continued his medical training, completed a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic which is ranked #2 nationally. At Cleveland Clinic, he trained with world-renowned surgeons, focusing on aesthetic surgery and breast reconstructive surgery, and once again serving as chief in his final year. Dr. Kashan has had the privilege of being involved in the surgical and medical care of the youngest face transplant recipient in America, a story that has been featured globally and most recently in National Geographic Magazine.
Dr. Kashan is committed to caring for underserved patients. As part of a team of plastic surgeons and nurses, he plans to travel to Colombia this year to provide life-altering surgeries to infants and children living with debilitating burns to their bodies as well as congenital hand anomalies.
Dr. Kashan also assumes an active role in academia, publishing on clinically-focused research within the field of Surgery. He has been invited to present at the national level to peers, sharing and disseminating his expertise in Plastic Surgery, in an effort to further advance the field. He maintains a strong interest and passion around innovation and creation of products, which has been very well-received by academics and the medical industry."
