"Melanie Torres-Gonzalez, MD, is an obstetrician and gynecologist who sees patients at the Upper East Side and Forest Hills, New York, locations of Garden OB/GYN. She has a distinct passion for helping inspire, support, and nurture women as they navigate each stage of life in relation to their sexual and reproductive health.
Dr. Torres-Gonzalez began her upper education at the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, where she graduated magna cum laude and made the Dean’s list. She then continued her education by earning her medical degree at Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. After medical school, she completed both a transitional year program and her obstetrics and gynecology residency at San Juan City Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Dr. Torres-Gonzalez has extensive experience conducting research in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as in understanding gynecological cancers and their screenings. She frequently conducts such screenings for her patients at Garden OB/GYN. She has also served on numerous committees in relation to her work."
