"Cassandra Henderson, MD, CDE, is a leading practitioner at Garden OB/GYN. Dr. Henderson sees patients at Garden OB/GYN’s locations on the Upper East Side and in Lake Success, New York. She specializes in maternal and fetal medicine, as well as in the treatment of diabetes.
Dr. Henderson’s aggressive approach to diabetes treatment has made her one of the nation’s top experts in her field. Through the use of cutting-edge technology and a team approach, Dr. Henderson empowers her patients to understand their treatment and make their own choices. She is an adjunct associate professor at St. George’s University School of Medicine, St. George’s, Grenada. She doesn’t just know the latest research and techniques in her field; she teaches them.
Dr. Henderson studied medicine at Loyola University Chicago before a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Chicago, where she was named chief resident. She was then named a fellow in maternal-fetal medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York.
Dr. Henderson is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, holds a certification in the maternal-fetal medicine subspecialty, and is a diabetes educator.
