"After receiving his B.A. from the University of California at Santa Cruz, Dr. Paul Knoepflmacher spent three years in Costa Rica in the United States Peace Corps. He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey: New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey, where he was honored for overall excellence in patient care. He completed an internship and residency in the Department of Medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, during which time he received the prestigious Richard Gorlin award for resident humanitarianism.
Following his residency, he was selected to serve as a chief resident at Mount Sinai in the Department of Medicine.
Dr. Knoepflmacher has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine since 2000. From 2014 onward he has been selected by his peers as one of New York’s Best Doctors in New York Magazine. He is a voluntary attending in the Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Knoepflmacher is a California native and has lived in New York City since 1996. He is a performing drummer and in his leisure time enjoys cooking, cycling, and camping."
