Dr. Dahmer is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison medical school and completed his residency training at Beth Israel Residency in Urban Family Medicine in New York City. He was one of the earliest graduates of the Integrative Family Medicine Fellowship with Dr. Andrew Weil. His postgraduate training has included work as a Fountainhead Scholar with The Institute for Functional Medicine, ethnomedicinal research with The New York Botanical Garden, and homeopathic training with the Center for Education and Development of Clinical Homeopathy. Dr. Dahmer has special interests in nutrition, mind-body therapies, botanical therapies, nutraceuticals and indigenous healing systems. Dr. Dahmer is Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and his clinical focus includes family medicine, preventive medicine, stress reduction, travel medicine, and men’s health."
