He had additional training in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. He completed mini-residencies in Occupational Medicine through Rutgers University and Women’s Health through the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Dr. Oran was among the earliest group of physicians trained in Medical Acupuncture by Joseph Helms, MD who accompanied Richard Nixon to China at the UCLA School of Medicine.

He was the first Medical Director for Corporate Health Services at the investment bank of Goldman Sachs following the 2001 World Trade Center Attack. In that position he established an internal employee health service and acted as medical escort for international travel for the Board of Directors and members of the C-suite. During this time he was a key member of the Business Continuity Team helping to formulate GS corporate response to epidemic Avian Flu and along with the Wellness Division within HCM, conducted drills and formulated medical preparation against any future terrorist incident directed at Goldman Sachs.

Following his tenure at Goldman Sachs, Dr. Oran proudly served as Chief of Emergency Medicine at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. At that time he was Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is now a Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Ronald O. Perelman Center for Emergency Services, NYU School of Medicine and Attending Physician, Emergency Medicine Observation Unit and Virtual Urgent Care Unit."
