"Thomas Bellavia, MD, DABFP, is an experienced Family Medicine practitioner at Osler Medical Group in the Hasbrouck Heights community of New Jersey. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Bellavia serves as Chairman of Osler Health and President of Heights Medical Associates.
After graduating from New York University’s Washington Square College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Dr. Bellavia enrolled in the University of Rome Medical School in Rome, Italy. He is fluent in Italian and English. Dr. Bellavia then returned to the United States to complete his postgraduate training at the Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Dr. Bellavia served in the United States Army Medical Corps in Virginia until 1968, reaching the rank of Major while being Chief of Professional Services at Kenner Army Hospital in Fort Lee, Virginia.
With more than 50 years of professional experience, Dr. Bellavia has been an advisor to both the state of New Jersey and Federal Governments on a variety of health care issues. He was recently invited to serve on the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services Task Force on chronic kidney disease.
At Osler Medical Group, he provides an array of services, including immunizations, medical marijuana evaluations, and soon to be skin tightening, wrinkle reduction, scar reduction, and hereditary genetic testing.
He was also an associate professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Bellavia belongs to several professional organizations, such as the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Academy of Family Practice and its Foundation, the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is also on the board at Felician University."
