"Joel feels deeply fortunate to have served patients and families in diverse communities over time. He brings both experience and enthusiasm to his clinical work, with special interest in the whole-person integration of physical, emotional, and behavioral health. He believes strongly in empowering individuals to make informed decisions that honor their own health needs and priorities. Joel trained in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and completed his Family Medicine residency in 1993. He moved to he southwestern United States to serve for several years as a family physician with the Indian Health Service. Returning to the Northeast in 2003, Joel initially assumed clinical and then leadership roles at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. In 2012 he was honored to collaborate in the co-founding of Dartmouth Health Connect, where he has happily served patients ever since!"
