Sara Trigero, MD

Dr. Trigero is board certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine and is pursuing certification in Lifestyle Medicine.  She was born and raised in Reno, Nevada prior to attending the University of Virginia where she received her B.S. in Biochemistry with high distinction.  She attended Virginia Commonwealth University for her medical degree prior to completing residency at the University of Colorado Denver, School of Medicine.  She has served as a clinical instructor at the University of Colorado Denver and Assistant Professor with the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine helping to support the growth of the next generation of physicians in Nevada.  She worked at the VA in Denver as a hospitalist prior to joining the Reno VA serving in primary care and pursuing leadership opportunities to provide oversight to Ambulatory Care and other services within the hospital prior to starting Achieve Health NV with her partner, Dr. Amy Sanguinetti, to bring quality, comprehensive, and holistic healthcare to Reno and help Nevadans achieve their health goals.
