Timothy Scott Osborne, MD

"Dr. Osborne completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a secondary focus in chemistry, mathematics, and Spanish in 1998. He was accepted into the University Of Kentucky School Of Medicine and received his MD in 2002. Dr. Osborne then completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Nevada, Reno in 2005.

During his third year of training, he participated in a novel research opportunity in which he focused on geriatrics and actually resided in a local assisted living facility, providing wellness lectures to the residents as well as overall health advice. This experience not only advanced his knowledge of issues in geriatric care, but also furthered his abilities to understand and relate to the concerns of our aging population.

After completing his training program, Dr. Osborne decided to make Reno his home and has continued his internal medicine career here since. Although he is not a Reno native, he feels fortunate to have discovered the region and continues to enjoy the splendor and beauty the region offers, as well as the outdoor activities provided."

Our Philosophy

Prestige Primary Providers is an internal medicine practice based upon a traditional model of primary care. Our vision is a return to a bygone era in which patient and provider enjoy and share not only a common goal of quality healthcare, but also the personal relationships that are lacking in the current healthcare model.

We are an independently owned internal medicine practice located in Reno, Nevada. We formed our outpatient practice after working for a combined 15 years together as inpatient specialists in internal medicine. Over the past several years, patients have repeatedly asked us if we had an outpatient office where they could come see us on a regular schedule. Ultimately, it was this repeated interaction that allowed us to form Prestige Primary Providers. Our model is to personally provide care for our patients in our office, coordinate any hospitalization, and ensure uninterrupted care.

In the past few years, and especially with the recent changes to the Affordable Healthcare Act (Obamacare), we have heard from patients and noticed ourselves that people are becoming increasingly dissatisfied with their overall healthcare experiences. Many people feel marginalized in primary care offices as wait times continue to increase, and length of appointment times with their providers continue to decrease.

We have been diligent and meticulous in planning for our practice, ensuring that we will be able to fulfill the needs of our patients with both the quality and compassion that is deserved. As the segment of our society aged 60 and older continues to grow rapidly, and as overall dissatisfaction with the current healthcare model continues to increase, we are confident that our model is not only wanted and needed, but will also be heralded by our patients as one of the best healthcare decisions they have made for themselves.
