"Jessica is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated cum laude with a Masters in Nursing Practice from Chamberlain University. She was born in Illinois, spent her childhood in southern Missouri and has called St. Joseph MO home since 2006. Jessica graduated from Nixa High School and attended the University of Missouri- Columbia (go Mizzou!) where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Upon graduation, she worked almost 9 years in pediatrics and more than 5 years in mental health and substance use recovery programs. Jessica has spent several years of her nursing career in the homeless community providing services at their camp, tent city, or shelters. She enjoyed working as a registered nurse but decided to pursue a career as a Family Nurse Practitioner while working under great leadership in the social welfare community setting. As a Nurse Practitioner her goal is health promotion and wellness, not just physical but psychosocial as well. Jessica believes every person deserves to have a provider that exhibits empathy, active listening, and allows an individual to have shared medical decision making in his/her healthcare."
