"Dr. Riggs was born and raised in Warrensburg, Missouri. She graduated valedictorian from Warrensburg High School in 1994. She then attended Brigham Young University under an academic and athletic scholarship for the women’s basketball program. She graduated with a BS in Zoology. She returned to Kansas City to attend the Kansas City University of Medical Biosciences where she graduated among the top 15% in her class and served as the President of the National Honors Fraternity SIgma Sigma Phi. She then went to the Via Christi Family Practice Residency Program in Wichita, Kansas. She was selected as Chief Resident as well as Outstanding 1st and 3rd year resident. Upon completion of residency she moved to Harrison, Arkansas where she practiced full spectrum family medicine including obstetrics. After starting her own family she returned to Kansas City to practice. Since 2009 she has been in Platte City, Missouri practicing traditional outpatient family medicine. She has fallen in love with the community and surrounding areas. She is excited to provide high quality care at an affordable price."
