Karen Davidson, NP-C

"Karen became a Nurse Practitioner 12 years ago  and has been working with the team at Mississippi Sports Medicine for 2 1/2 years. Her decision to join Mississippi Sports Medicine came from recommendations that it is a great place to work for many reasons and she thought orthopaedics and joint replacement surgery would be a fun and rewarding next step as a nurse practitioner. She enjoys helping patients through the surgical process as they go from being miserable with pain to pain free.

"I mainly assist with all the elements of surgery-including pre-op planning, prescriptions, admission to discharge orders and documentation, first assisting in the OR, surgery billing, hospital rounds and care. I also do coordination of care with others such as physical therapy, nursing care, case management, rehab facilities, pharmacies, and consulting physicians," states Karen Davidson."
